Baklava is a delicious dessert made with layers of phyllo dough, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and usually nuts- among other things. However, I chose to make my baklava with a layer of crushed vanilla wafers, instead of nuts. It was cheaper and really yummy! My dessert came out flaky, sweet and savory. I know you will enjoy this one!
This blog was created for all the hungry college students out there who feel helpless in their tiny dormitory kitchens. I remember all too well my grocery bags stuffed with Ramen Noodles, Frozen Pizzas & popcorn- completely clueless when it came to cooking meals for myself. I hope you will find the recipes I will include to be easy, affordable, & quick for your busy schedules. Most of the recipes are straight from my mothers kitchen so the flavors should make you feel right at home.

I discovered this mouth-watering treat on one of my favorite cooking blogs, http://noblepig.com/. These are sure to go fast, so hide them under your bed so your roomies don't eat them!
