Tortellini Amore

Tortellini Amore is one of my favorite pasta dishes. I got the idea from a restaurant back home in Maryland, and created it from scratch at home. Its a delicious concoction of tortellinis in a heavy creamy garlic sauce with peas and prosciutto. This recipe is really easy and makes 4-6 servings, depending on how hungry you are! 


Ingredients:
1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo Sauce
1 (15 oz) can peas
1 (20 oz) pkg tortellini
1 (3 oz) pkg Prosciutto (dry-cured ham)
1/8 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp dried basil
1/8 tsp garlic
Parmesan Cheese to taste

Directions:
Bring water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to the directions on the package, until al dente. Drain and set aside. While tortellini is cooking, chop up the prosciutto into small piece.


Heat peas in their own juices until warm. Drain the peas and place back into pot. Add the tortellini sauce, and seasonings. Mix well and heat until bubbling.

In large bowl, combine the tortellini, sauce, and prosciutto. Mix well. Top with Parmesan cheese.
