Pasta Carbonara

Pasta Carbonara is basically a spaghetti and bacon dish..... and it is delicious! In this recipe, eggs are added to the pasta raw, but don't worry, the heat from the cooked pasta will cook the egg. For different variations on this dish you could always add peas or mushrooms for added color and flavor. 



Ingredients:
8-10 slices of bacon
2 eggs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. spaghetti

Directions:
Fry 8-10 strips of bacon, and place on paper towel to drain, then chop into small pieces. Beat together 2 eggs, and 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.  

TIP:  You can either buy the cheese already grated in a container, or buy a block and grate it yourself. Check to see if either are on sale to save some money!

Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain the pasta and place into a large bowl. Toss with the egg mixture. Add the bacon and salt and pepper to taste.
