Here is a delicious twist on french fries. If you are planning on having fries as a side for dinner, buy a bag of frozen sweet potato fries, or yams if you want to cut them up yourself. Sweet potatoes are high in beta carotene, which the body converts to Vitamin A. They are also less starchy than regular baking potatoes.
For this dish, I placed the fries on a baking sheet. Then sprinkled them with cinnamon, brown sugar, salt and chili powder. Then I baked them according to the directions on the package. They turned out to be delicious! They were sweet, salty and had a little kick to them from the chili powder.
For a healthier version, you could toss the fries in some olive oil, salt and pepper, and bake according to the package.
